UPSC Eligibility:
Age Limit: The candidate must be the age of 21 years, and below this age, candidates are not eligible. The candidate should not be above 32 years. The birth date that is mentioned in the high school certificate will be considered by the UPSC. For UPSC 2021 exams, age will be counted from July 1, 2021. If you are planning for IAS 2021 exams, then you must not be born before August 2, 1989, and not after August 1, 2000.

Nationality: Those candidates who want to appear for the IAS exam should:
(a) belong to India or (b)Nepal, or (c)Bhutan,
or
(d) be a Tibetan refugee who has come to India before January 1, 1962.
or
(e) Anybody who is an Indian, but has migrated from countries like Burma, Zambia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Malawi, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zaire, and Vietnam.
For categories (b), (c), (d), and (e) certificates of eligibility must be issued by the Government of India.
4. Educational Qualification
- A candidate who wants to appear for the UPSC exam, should have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Candidates who are waiting for the results can appear for the examination. But, at the time of the mains examination, a candidate will have to submit a passing certificate along with an application form.
- UPSC has not set any minimum percentage for the exam. The only thing aspirant has to keep in mind that they should have a graduate degree from a recognized university.
