The basic educational requirement for NEET-UG is having a solid science background (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and also qualifying marks in these subject to start with it. How Can You Appear For NEET?

The basic requirements for appearing for the NEET examinations are:

1. A candidate must be of at least 17 years of age for appearing in the exam, this is the minimum age limit.

2. The maximum age limit for NEET-UG is 25 years for General category students and for SC/ST/OBC and PwDstudents there is a relaxation of up to 5 years.

3. The mandatory requirement to appear in the NEET is that the candidate must have passed in the 10 2 board exams (CBSE, ICSE or equivalent State-wise Board exams) with having achieved the qualifying marks in the core subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English) also.

4. The minimum qualifying percentage (total aggregate) for the core subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Biology have been differentiated as per the categories, which are:

• General- 50%
• SC/ST/OBC – 40%
• PWD – 45%

5. There is no maximum limit for the number of attempts to appear in the NEET examinations as of 2021.

6. The people who can appear in these exams are Indian Nationals, Person of Indian origin, NRIs and also aspiring foreign nationals.
