Introduction To NEET Exam Syllabus
The following article provides an outline for NEET Exam Syllabus. NEET exam is for Science (Biology) Students. So the subjects will be Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. So, Basically the syllabus of class 11th and 12th from both the classes. One shall target to cover the whole syllabus before the exam.
What Is NEET Exam?
NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and is conducted by NTA (National Test Agency). NEET is the sole test for entrance into the MBBS or BDS courses in India. This exam is conducted once a year (Aspirants have demanded that the exam must be conducted twice a year and the Health Ministry is looking into this). NEET is held at around 150 centers all around India. Each year 1.5 million candidates appear for the exam.
2021 NEET Exam Dates
- The application form for NEET will be released in February 2021, Candidate must fill the form in February 2021 itself.
- Admit cards will be available in the last week of March as per your choice of the city the candidate would get the center for exam.
- The exam is to be conducted in the 1st week of May.
- Answer keys would be released in the 2nd week of May.
- The candidate can challenge the answer key in 1 weeks’ time.
- Results with Rank would be announced on the 1st week of June.
- A week after that counseling will commence.

NEET Exam Paper Pattern
It is very crucial for the candidate to know the pattern of the NEET exam.
- The exam duration is 180 minutes (3 hours) and the mode of the test is offline. (Online mode is still in discussion phase).
- A total number of questions would be 180 (All MCQs only) divided among 3 subjects as shown in the table earlier and each correct answer would land 4 marks and each wrong answer will cost you a -1 mark. [There is a chance that the number of questions could increase, it’s still in discussion].
- The candidate has a choice from 11 different languages to appear in the Exam.
