1. Gender Requirements
With the verdict of the Supreme court, female candidates can now also apply for NDA requirements. Yet the interim order needs to be come out.
2. Nationality
Candidate must fulfill either one condition of the following:
- Indian Citizenship.
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
- Tibetan refugees settled with the aim of permanent settlement moved to India before 01 January 1962.
- Person of Indian origin migrated to India from below mentioned countries with the aim of permanent settlement Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, Zambia, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Zaire, Malawi, Uganda, East African countries of Kenya, United Republic of Tanzania.
3. Age Limit And Marital Status

4. Educational Qualification

For Indian Armed Forces | Passing degree of 10 2 or equivalent degree from recognized board |
For Indian Navy And Indian Armed Forces, 10 2 Cadet Entry Scheme At INA | Passing degree of 10 2 or equivalent degree with Physics and Mathematics |
5. Height And Weight Requirements
- Minimum height requirement is 157 cms, 162.5 cms for the Air force.
- Candidates belonging to the north-eastern region of India and for Gorkhas, there is the exemption of 5 cms than the regular measurement.
- Candidates belonging to Lakshadweep Islands, there is the exemption in minimum height by 2 cms.
