Introduction To GPSC
The following article provides an outline for GPSC Exam Paper. The abbreviated GPSC stands for Gujarat Public Service Commission. GPSC organizes the Gujarat state-level recruitment examination for the selection of eligible candidates for Gujarat administrative services. The responsibility of the GPSC is to select suitable candidates through an exam that consists of prelims, mains, and interview. The departments for which GPSC conducts exams include Gujarat civil services, education, revenue, police, planning commission, rural and urban development, public welfare, etc.
GPSC exam is the toughest and top-ranked recruitment exam for Gujarat state. More than 3 lakhs aspirants appear for prelims, but after filtration through mains exam and interview, only approximately 1500-2000 applicants will be eligible for the available vacant posts. Posts are allotted as per their scores obtained in exams and interview.
Clearing the GPSC exam is not difficult if the candidates get thorough knowledge about the syllabus, up to date with all current affairs of national, state, and international events including sports, entertainment, political and other events. So, candidates are required to study well all academics, should read daily newspapers, watch news channels, practice aptitude tests, and solve previous year question papers.

1. Prelims
Prelims exam is conducted for screening purposes only. The marks scored in this round is not considered for the final merit list. The exam is the objective-type question (multiple choice question) i.e., each question has multiple options out of which one will be the correct answer. The question paper will be in English and Gujarati.

2. Mains

Total marks, Mains Personality test = 1000 Marks
The final merit list will be generated based on the marks scored by the candidates and will be recruited for their specific post.
