Introduction To CAT Exam
The following article provides an outline for CAT Exam Date 2021. Every year IIM conducts an entrance examination for the 20 IIMs and several business schools in India. Similarly, this year too this examination is going to be conducted for the management aspirants. Here, we will see some key dates and other exam-related information that will help you in preparation for the examination.
CAT Exam Date 2021
Now, let’s see what all important dates are there that are important from the perspective of this examination. As of now, no dates have been released yet however we will be looking at last year’s dates and get estimated dates for the events.
- Registration Start: The exam procedure starts with registration. All the interested candidates need to register at iimcat.ac.in and follow the process. In 2020, this began on Aug, 20 hence we can estimate that this year again it will commence in August.
- Registration Ends: Interested candidates must register themselves before the last date of registration. Last year registration ended on Sep 23, which means the registration window was open for more than 45 days. We can expect a similar pattern, this year too.
- Admit Card: After successful registration for the examination, admit card will be released and can be accessed from the official website. Last year, it was released on Oct 28. This year too it is expected in October.
- Exam Date: Finally, the main exam. Following all the previous year’s trends, the exam is generally conducted at the end of November. A similar pattern can be expected this year too.
- Result: Again, following the trends, the results are announced in the initial days of January.

1. Your admit card is the most important thing. As stated at the start of the article, the admit card will be released in October end, let’s understand what all information will be available on your admit card:
- Application Number or Registration Number
- Name of the candidate
- Category
- PwD (People with Disabilities)
- Date & Time of the Test
- Test Session or Slot
- Test Venue Name and Address
- Reporting Time and Entry Time
2. Make sure that all these details are correct and confirm these details in advance so that there should not be any confusion on the day of the examination.
3. Carry an identity card issued by the Government of India, this is the next important document, you should carry. Do not forget these.
4. Along with these, carry your college ID card too in case it is requested to produce at the center.
5. Be at the center at the given reporting time so make sure you check the admit card for the reporting time and be there in time.
6. All the necessary stationery items should be checked before leaving for the examination and only carry permitted items.
7. As we are going through the pandemic make sure you carry all the sanitization material such as face mask or shield, hand sanitizer, etc.
