Introduction To CAPF Exam Pattern

The following article provides an outline for CAPF Exam Pattern.

The CAPF exam is conducted into four phases:

• Written Exam
• Physical Efficiency Test
• Interview or Personality Test
• Merit List

There are two options of languages for the CAPF exam Hindi and English. The written exam has two papers, Paper 1 is a qualifier for Paper 2.

What Is Defense CAPF Exam?

CAPF or Combined Armed Police Force exam is a competitive exam conducted at the national level, administrated by the Union Public Service Commission to recruit candidates from a large number of applicants for the post of Assistant Commandant in one of the seven security forces of India. The defense CAPF Exam 2021 was applied by more than 2.5 Lakhs applicants for the total posts of 159.

CAPF Cut Off

The first thing to be cleared is that cut off and qualifying marks are different. Cut off marks decide the shortlisting base for candidates.

The cut off criteria differ for various categories and are listed in the below table:

The cut off marks calculation is based on:

• Number of vacancies
• Number of candidates who appeared in the exam

How To Prepare For CAPF AC?

Candidates must prepare a comprehensive strategy that will focus on all subjects including exercise and healthy eating.

a. For Paper 1

• For the section on general ability and intelligence, concentrate on quantitive aptitude, numerical ability, data interpretation.
• Rehearse as many problems as you can of analogy, profit and loss, time and distance with accuracy.
• For the reasoning section, make a practice of questions based on puzzles, coding-decoding, input-output, syllogism, blood relations, seating arrangements.
• For logical reasoning, read out the information and analyze the critical information. Think and compare the possible solutions and come up with the correct solution.
• To get good marks in current affairs, be updated with the latest happenings in the field of arts, finance, culture, science, politics.
• For the history and geography section, focus on regional, national, and internationally important events with their importance.

b. For Paper 2

• Essay writing requires presentation skills, rich vocabulary, knowledge about the subject. Enrich your vocabulary by developing a reading habit.
• Be updated with the latest happenings in India, past events in india.
• Remember the dates, trends of the events to make the essay more factual-based.
• Refresh your grammar skills. Practice precise writing on any subject on daily basis.
