- Must be a citizen of India.
- The subject of Nepal or Bhutan.

Category Criteria
Given below is the category criteria:
1. EWS Category
Along with OBC, Sc/St, and other reservations there are one important criteria based on lower-income i.e., economically weaker section criteria.
- When the gross income of the whole family comes below 8 lakh annually, those are considered for the EWS category. A family having ancestorial assets will not be considered for EWS.
These can be:
- 5 acres of agricultural land.
- Apartment or own house of 1000sq feet.
- Residential plots above 100sq yards.
2. PwD Category
Physically disabled candidates are considered for the PwD category.
These includes:
- Deaf /hearing problems
- Blindness/vision problems
- Mental illness and learning disability
- Person’s inability to execute activates with movement, disability of nervous system and orthopedically challenged person covering
Leprosy cured person but suffering from:
- Loss of sensation of limbs
- Manifest deformity but having sufficient mobility in limbs to enable them
- Extreme physical deformity
- Cerebral palsy
- Dwarfism
- Muscular dystrophy
