The banking sector is becoming one of the most popular sectors in India today. Several exams are conducted throughout the year for banking sector. Banking exams are conducted for various posts such as PO, Clerk, SO and then there are other posts also conducted by RBI: RBI Grade B and RBI Assistant.

Banking Exams Eligibility Criteria
One must check before applying for any exam its eligibility criteria.
Eligibility criteria for banking exams are as below:
- Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a graduation degree from a designated govt. recognized university. Postgraduates can also apply for the positions.
- Age Criteria: The applicant must be in the age range of 20-30 years old. There is age relaxation which is provided according to category. For the general category, there is no relaxation until and unless he is ex-servicemen or holding Jammu and Kashmir quota which has an age relaxation of 5 years. If the applicant is belonging to the ST-SC category, 5 years of relaxation is given to him/her. If the candidate belongs to the OBC category, 3 years of age relaxation is given to the applicant. For 1984 Riot Victims there is an age relaxation of 5 years.
- Nationality: Candidate must be of Indian Origin. The candidate can either be a citizen of India, subject to Bhutan, or subject to Nepal. Indian origin and is migrated to India.
- Criminal Record: Candidate shall not hold any criminal offense record or any type, if found guilty at any point of procedure, the candidature will be canceled immediately.
- PWD (Person With Disability): To PWD candidates an age relaxation of 10 years is provided.
Note: These criteria are specifically for PO exam.
