1. UPSC CSE Eligibility
Given below is the UPSC CSE Eligibility:
Age Limit:
The candidate must be the age of 21 years, and below this age, candidates are not eligible. The candidate should not be above 32 years. The birth date that is mentioned in the high school certificate will be considered by the UPSC. For UPSC 2021 exams, age will be counted from July 1, 2021. If you are planning for IAS 2021 exams, then you must not be born before August 2, 1989, and not after August 1, 2000.

2. Details of 2021 Examination
Given below are the details mentioned:
a. Nationality
Those candidates who want to appear for the IAS exam should:
(a) belong to India or (b)Nepal, or (c)Bhutan
or
(d) be a Tibetan refugee who has come to India before January 1, 1962.
or
(e) An Indian origin person who has migrated from Zambia, Burma, Pakistan, Malawi, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam.
For categories (b), (c), (d), and (e) certificates of eligibility must be issued by the Government of India.
b. Educational Qualification
- A candidate who wants to appear for the UPSC exam should have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Candidates who are waiting for the results can appear for the examination. But, at the time of the mains examination, a candidate will have to submit a passing certificate along with an application form.
- UPSC has not set any minimum percentage for the exam. The only thing aspirant has to keep in mind that they should have a graduate degree from a recognized university.
3. How to Apply for UPSC Exams?
Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria and educational qualifications are requested to follow the following steps to fill up an application form.
Exam Registration Steps:
Part 1: Filling up the basic details.
Step 1: The aspirant has to visit the official website of UPSC i.e www.upsconline.nic.in.
Step 2: Aspirant will see “New Registration”. Click on that button.
Step 3: They will ask you for the following information:
- Candidate’s Name
- Date of birth
- Email Id
- And any more
Step 4: After providing all details, aspirants need to click on the ‘submit’ button.
Step 5: Aspirant will get User ID and Password.
Part 2: Filling more details in the application form.
Step 6: Aspirant has to login with their user id and password provided at the time of registration.
Step 7: Aspirants will be redirected to another page where they have to fill in other details.
Step 8: Following are the details that the Aspirant will fill in:
- Personal details
- Basic details
- Educational details
- Communicational details
Part 3: Uploading photographs.
Step 9: Aspirant will have to scan and upload the following documents:
- Upload the passport size photograph in jpeg/jpg format.
- No other format will do.
- Scanned photograph of a sign in jpg format.
Part 4: Fee payment.
Step 10: Once the aspirant is done with filling up the form, then comes fee payment.
There is a mode of payment:
- Debit Card
- Credit Card
- Net Banking
To make a payment, an aspirant has to click on the ‘Make Payment’ Option. An aspirant is requested to recheck all the details and then submit an application form. After submitting an application form, a candidate can take a printout of the application form.
