Introduction To MPSC Mains Syllabus
The following article provides an outline for MPSC Mains Syllabus. Candidates need to buck their preparation as dates of prelims are round the corner. The exams that were halted due to Covid-19 pandemics are now being conducted and dates for the same are declared. The civil service exam for Maharashtra state is going to be conducted tentatively in May but the prelims will be conducted on 02 January 2021. Candidates who are passed with a qualifying score in Prelims are eligible for appearing for the MPSC Main exam.
What Is MPSC?
MPSC is the state-level exam conducted in Maharashtra to recruit capable candidates for various government authorized posts at levels Group A and B. This competitive exam is arranged in both the local language of Marathi and also in English. Nature of the prelim question paper is objective and contains 2 papers. But the difficulty level increases at the Main level, and candidates need to appear for 6 papers.

MPSC Main exam runs for multiple days as there are 6 papers. Candidates who obtain cut-off marks that are previously decided by the commission get the admit cards for the Main exam.

- First paper is descriptive in nature where candidates can showcase their comprehension and essay writing skills.
- Second paper of language is MCQ-based and questions are based on comprehension, grammar, and essay.
